Connect Tradovate

Log in on Tradovate's own page inside the app. Works for prop firms on Tradovate and NinjaTrader.

Which accounts this covers

Tradovate also runs the accounts of many prop firms, and of NinjaTrader brokerage. If you log in to your prop firm on the Tradovate or NinjaTrader web platform, this is your connection. Check your firm on /prop-firms.

Steps

  1. In the app, open Connections and press Add a login. Choose Tradovate.
  2. Give the login a name, for example the name of your prop firm.
  3. Read the seat warning. Tick One seat per login. Other copiers are off.
  4. Press Open Tradovate login. Tradovate's own login page opens inside the app.
  5. Log in there, the same way you do on Tradovate's website.
  6. All accounts under that login appear in Connections.
  7. Repeat for each login. Most prop firms give you one login per firm, with all your accounts of that firm under it.

One seat per login

Tradovate limits how many sessions one login can have open. The app does not start a new session. It reuses the session of the Tradovate page you logged into inside the app. That page stays open in the background, so Tradovate renews the session by itself.

Turn off any other copier on this login first. If two tools share one login, one of them gets kicked out. See Kicked out of a session.

To see the Tradovate page again, open the login's menu in Connections and choose Show Tradovate page.

What we see and keep

  • You type your password on Tradovate's own page. The app never sees it.
  • The app keeps the session token in memory only. It never writes it to disk.
  • Our server never sees your login or your session.
  • You do not need Tradovate's paid API add-on for this.

Remove a connection

In Connections, open the login's menu and choose Remove. The app logs out and forgets the login. Your positions and orders stay as they are.
