Getting started

What the app does, what you need, and the steps from sign-up to your first copy.

What TwinCopier does

You trade on one account, the leader. The app sends the same orders to your other accounts, the followers. A leader and its followers form a group.

  • It copies between your own accounts only.
  • It runs on your own computer (macOS; Windows is coming soon). Orders leave from your computer, not from our servers.
  • It gives no signals and no advice. It does not copy other traders.

What you need

  • A Mac that stays on while you trade.
  • At least two trading accounts on Rithmic, Tradovate or TopstepX.
  • An account with us (email and password).

Steps

  1. Create an account and confirm your email. Start your free trial on the Account page. No card needed.
  2. Install the app on macOS.
  3. Open the app and sign in with your TwinCopier email and password.
  4. Open Connections and press Add a login. See Connect Rithmic, Connect Tradovate or Connect TopstepX.
  5. Make a group: pick one leader and one or more followers.
  6. Check the safety switches, then press Start.

Before your first real trade

  1. Test on evaluation accounts first.
  2. Read your prop firm's copier rules. See Prop-firm rules.
  3. Turn off any other copier on the same accounts, such as Tradovate Group Trade or the TopstepX copier. Two copiers on one account send double orders.
  4. Keep the computer awake while you trade. Copying stops when it sleeps.
